The Grumm-Grzhemaylo is a valley tree-like glacier in the central Pamirs in Tajikistan. It is located at the base of the Revolution Peak and on the slopes of the Yazgulem ridge. This glacier is the second-largest glacier in the Pamirs after the Fedchenko glacier. The Grumm-Grzhemaylo glacier is located in the Tanymas valley, in the Pamirs. The glacier is 37 km long, with an area of 142.9 sq. km, the height of the end of the tongue is 3,610 m. Geographic coordinates: 38º 32 '30' 'N 72º30 '00' 'E G.I. The main mountainous knot and the main glacier of the region lie to the south of the Tanymas valley, directly adjacent to the ridge of the Southern group of the Fedchenko glacier. The entire space between the Bezymyanny ridge and the spur almost parallel to it is filled with ice. The Grumm-Grzhemaylo glacier starts here. A huge reservoir of solid sediments, up to 3-4 kilometres wide, arose due to the proximity of the Fedchenko glacier. Out of the total area of 248.5 square kilometres occupied by glaciers, 160 square kilometres falls on the Grumm-Grzhemaylo glacial basin. The next largest is the Tanymas 2 glacier basin, which has an area of only 22 square kilometres. The Grumm-Grzhemaylo glacier has ten left and five right tributaries. Large glaciers as the Verkhniy Muz-Kulak or Schwarzenhorn glaciers (11 km long) and Maly Muz-Kulak (8 km long) are among them. Many tributaries of the Grumm-Grzhemaylo glacier, in turn, are formed by the confluence of several branches. This entire complex system ends with the tongue of the main glacier, the total length of which is 37 kilometres. The right, and left sides, the height, have increased and advanced since its complete observation in 1928. It is difficult to pass the surface of the glacier, due to the existence of many cracks, seracs, pointed peaks, pyramids, which formed as a result of uneven melting. The Grumm-Grzhemaylo glacier flows down from the northeastern slope of the Revolution peak (6940), the first third flows to the east, and then turn to the north. A short but full-flowing stream from the glacier flows into the Tanymas River, a tributary of Bartang River. The glacier receives eight large tributaries to the left from the Vysokaya Stena ridge and three smaller tributaries to the right from the Kholodnaya Stena ridge. The largest left tributaries are the Upper Muzkulak, the Maly Muz-kulak and the Lower Muz-kulak.
